What was your biggest lesson from our pandemic lockdown? For many, it was the fact that it is emotionally difficult to feel disconnected. This feeling led me to explore how we can use our new reality tools to help other feel loved, connected, and empowered. This five-year journey has landed at the perfect time. A time that will teach us how to embrace virtual reality to unleash our ability to connect.
Our new industrial era will provide us five new realities that will allow us to connect with God, others, and nature in ways we did not have available.
Join our growing VR for Good Tribe. Every week, we explore our new industrial era, VR for Good projects, and work together on solving humanity's biggest problems left from the Third Industrial Revolution.
This is our traditional reality. It is my sincerest hope that humanity doesn't look to replace our connection in the real reality. Here is the definition of our real reality:
Augmented Reality is our new reality that "combines real reality with a device that overlays digital content." (source) The new reality will be seen on car windshields, video games, and toy boxes.
Virtual Reality is a tool that brings the viewer on a trip that helps 'feel' like they are somewhere else. For example, imagine a hospital patient donning a VR headset to take an immersive trip to their place of worship to pray before surgery.
Mixed reality combines augmented, virtual, and real realities.
Our Remote Reality will bring viewers in an experience where they are controlling a robotic device that is somewhere else on the planet. This reality is used currently in healthcare, the military NASA Mars projects, and delivering groceries.
The future has arrived. We can now enjoy holographic images and videos. These experiences will allow humanity to hear a Ronald Reagan speech, interact with a Holocaust survivor, or view a holographic image of a car during an exhibit.
